Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary practice in Essex, Vermont, providing care for poultry, dogs, cats, avians, amphibians, reptiles, and small and exotic mammals. They are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their fast-paced practice. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and offers a varied caseload ranging from companion animals to wildlife, supported by an established clientele and a strong focus on high-quality veterinary care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive veterinary care across a diverse patient caseload, with responsibilities including wellness examinations and vaccinations, urgent care for injuries and emergencies, full-service dentistry including dental X-rays and extractions, and general surgery including spays, neuters, mass removals, and gastropexy. The role also involves diagnostic testing, including ultrasound, X-rays, urinalysis, blood testing, and tick disease testing. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The practice provides canine, feline, exotic animal, and wildlife care, with services including semi-annual canine and feline wellness examinations and vaccinations, urgent care, dentistry, general surgery, diagnostic testing, chiropractic care, grooming, and maintenance care. The practice has a fast-paced environment and longstanding clientele. Opening hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM-6:00 PM and Saturday from 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, with the practice closed on Sunday.

The practice has two DVMs and a great tenured support team. The environment emphasizes strong technician support, collaborative medicine, teamwork, and a supportive culture, with experienced staff working together to provide high-quality care to patients and clients.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
