Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; PALS preferred Must-Have: - Teamwork and communication skills - Experience with medical acute conditions Description: This position requires an experienced Registered Nurse focused on providing high-quality care to patients in a medical surgical setting. Nurse-patient ratios are designed to ensure optimal care, with 1:5-6 during night shifts. Common diagnoses include pneumonia, heart failure, sepsis, COPD, urologic issues, surgical recoveries, total joint replacements, and general surgery. Nurses will oversee the collaboration with patient care technicians to ensure proper care is delivered, including Foley care, CHG bathing, and oral care. Registered Nurses are required to monitor telemetry strips and respond appropriately, utilizing provided electronic monitoring systems. Weekend and holiday work is expected as part of the regular rotation. Nurses may float to other units as necessary, based on patient needs. Solid color scrubs are required, and no prints are permitted in the uniform policy. The charting system utilized in this role is EPIC.
