Salary Range: $72,000 - $110,000

Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

A Canton, Ohio area Industrial Equipment Manufacturing Company is seeking an Applications Engineer with a background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with some basic or advanced knowledge of low and medium voltage power distribution equipment. This is a LEARN and EARN Growth Opportunity!

Responsibilities:

• Bid Development: Reviewing project specifications to determine job scope and identifying special non-technical requirements.
• Technical Analysis: Detailing equipment requirements, operation specs, and developing technical exceptions for customer submittals.
• Project Estimating: Evaluating necessary engineering and production hours while consulting with management on facility capacity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Communicating with Sales, Operations, and Contracts teams to ensure bid accuracy and smooth order transitions.
• Documentation: Developing one-line diagrams, reading prints, and preparing all materials for bid meetings and order entry.
• Customer Support: Acting as the technical point of contact to answer and technical inquiries from customers and the sales team.

Qualifications:

• College degree in a technical discipline (Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred) OR extensive equivalent industry experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Proficiency in Power Distribution equipment (Low and Medium Voltage).
• Ability to read blueprints and develop one-line diagrams.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
• Creative problem-solving to offer technical alternatives that provide a competitive advantage.
• Accountable, ethical, innovative, and a strong communicator with a positive "team-player" attitude.
