Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Primary Skill: Core Project Management - communication, leadership, organization, risk management, budgeting, and problem-solving, alongside crucial interpersonal abilities like adaptability, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution to guide projects from initiation to completion successfully.

Secondary: Banking Domain Knowledge in American Banking 

Experience: Minimum 10 years

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

•Planning & Definition: Defining scope, goals, deliverables, tasks, and required resources.

•Scheduling & Budgeting: Creating timelines, setting milestones, and managing monetary aspects.

•Team Leadership: Organizing, motivating, and directing the project team.

•Resource Management: Allocating and managing project resources effectively.

•Risk & Issue Management: Identifying potential blockers, mitigating risks, and resolving conflicts.

•Communication: Serving as the central hub for communication between team members, management, and stakeholders.

•Monitoring & Control: Tracking progress, ensuring quality, and implementing changes as needed.

•Reporting: Presenting status updates, problems, and solutions to stakeholders. 

1. Project Planning & Execution 

•Structured Methodologies: Expertise in applying structured project management methods (Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid) to manage the full project lifecycle.

•Scope & Budget Management: Defining project scope, creating detailed project plans, and maintaining strict control over budgets and timelines.

•Process Improvement/Re-engineering: Ability to map existing processes, analyze inefficiencies, and design optimized workflows. 

2. Risk, Regulatory, and Controls Management

•Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of financial regulations (e.g., AML, KYC) and ability to ensure all projects remain compliant.

•Controls Management: Implementing strong governance, ensuring audit readiness, and documenting controls to prevent financial and operational risks.

•RAID Management: Proactively identifying and mitigating Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID). 

3. Stakeholder Management & Communication

•Influence & Negotiation: Navigating across multiple lines of business and partnering with technology, legal, and compliance teams to drive decision-making.

•Executive Reporting: Preparing clear, concise status updates and presentations for senior management and project steering committees.

•Vendor Management: Coordinating with external vendors and managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs). 

4. Technical & Analytical Skills

•Data Analysis: Using data to analyze project health, measure KPIs, and evaluate process improvement opportunities.

•Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Visio, and internal Bank technology platforms.

•Technology Transformation: Driving adoption of new technologies (e.g., AI, cloud, digital banking platforms). 

5 Leadership & Change Management

•Change Leadership: Supporting the adoption and sustainment of changes, particularly in high-paced, evolving environments.

•Resource Management: Motivating cross-functional teams and resolving resource conflicts.

•Problem-Solving: Ability to take an ill-defined problem and propose concrete tasks and deliverables.
