We support individuals living with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as adults and children experiencing hunger and homelessness in four states and the District of Columbia.Advancing inclusive communities where every person, regardless of circumstances, has the right and opportunity to live their best life is our mission, and our mission is what drives us and is at the heart of our services and programs.What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for a DSP (Direct Support Professional) who provides support to persons with disabilities in developing and/or maintaining skills to enhance the quality of their lives in the community; observe and respond to the physical, social, behavioral, career and personal needs of persons served; advocates for the needs of persons served and serves as a link to community inclusion; assists with daily routines (i.e. household tasks, employment related task, personal care).Your overall essential responsibilities will be the following:Provide appropriate level of supervision and training to persons served through services to include residential, day, respite, community, and employment services to facilitate their social wellbeing, health and safety in the least restrictive environment.Administer medication to persons served; per medication administration procedures upon successful state required certifications.Assist persons served to take public transportation or ensures transport to access community resources.
