An APRN/PA manifests a high level of expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating actual and potential health problems of pediatric patients and their families. An APRN/PA possesses an advanced knowledge level, skill, and competence in the provision of care to specific patient and family populations and serves across the care continuum as a clinical resource for patients, families, staff, and the community.QualificationsAPRN:Graduate from an accredited nursing program with at least a Master's in Nursing.National Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. May have a certification as a Pediatric Nurse practitioner in either acute or primary care.PA:Graduate from an accredited physician assistant program defined by the Arkansas State Medical Board.Current Arkansas Physician Assistant license.Preferred Qualifications :Basic Life Support (BLS).Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).ResponsibilitiesProvide direct clinical services for patients according to established protocols and utilizing evidence-based clinical practice standards in collaboration with a physician.Obtain patient health histories, complete physical examinations, and interpret hemodynamic data.Document pertinent normal and abnormal findings.
