Design Manager/Project Manager - Critical Facilities

About the Role Your role as a Design Manager is to lead and deliver Critical Facilities projects through all phases, guiding cross‑functional teams and ensuring client satisfaction. Responsibilities Develop and nurture positive relationships with existing client contacts, optimizing opportunities. Maintain awareness of clients’ business objectives and market trends to identify opportunities. Direct day‑to‑day project delivery, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget completion. Lead and facilitate the overall cross‑functional project team. Ensure smooth project process with clear requirements, deliverables, timelines, and fee visibility. Prepare, communicate, and monitor project work plans, budgets, and deliverables. Prepare and review proposals, contracts, and consultant agreements. Manage client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, civil, and other consultants. Own problem resolution and collaborate with practice area leadership and studio director. Support new business development with current and potential clients. Contribute to project reports and staffing meetings with accurate information to improve studio delivery and financial objectives. Review internal project accounting documents and draft billing. Collaborate with Design Director and marketing team to document project story, photography/videography. Qualifications Design Management and Project Management experience. Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Interior Design or architecture. 10+ years of experience as a Registered Interior Designer or Architect. Strong leadership, organizational, communication skills. Extensive knowledge of all phases of interior design/architectural projects. Proven client service and account leadership. Proactive, adaptable, works in fast‑paced environment. Strong programming and space‑planning skills. High design competence, understanding of building codes. Proficiency in Revit. Experience managing consultant teams and resolving complex technical and design issues. Location Dallas, Texas. This position is in‑person.
