Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)
Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) for a 13-week travel assignment in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, earning up to $2,600 per week. The role delivers respiratory care across ICU, step-down, cardiac, and ED units, supporting ventilator management, ABG sampling, and emergency interventions. The position offers premium pay, comprehensive benefits, and flexible travel opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care and support to patients in ICU, step-down, cardiac, and ED units
- Monitor and manage ventilators, perform ABG punctures, and adjust airway settings as prescribed
- Administer inhaled medications via nebulizers and MDI devices, ensuring proper technique and patient safety
- Respond to code blue situations, providing emergency respiratory intervention and EKG monitoring
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, documenting findings accurately in EPIC EMR
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
- Ability to work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility to float across units
- Proficiency with hospital EMR systems
