Lab Computing Analyst

Lab Computing AnalystOur client, a Life Sciences, Biotechnology and Laboratory Services company, is looking for a Lab Computing Analyst for their Albany, NY location. Responsibilities include applying professional-level technical skill and judgment to provide non-routine technical support for computer/data center operations. This role involves installing, configuring, and troubleshooting server and non-desktop computer hardware, software, systems, and other resources in a data center or other centralized computer network setting. The position also requires maintaining access control, data integrity, and file system security for the computer/data center environment. Additionally, the role involves monitoring, tracking, and recording system performance and utilization metrics, communicating highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel, and recommending process, hardware, and software solutions to improve computer/data center efficiency.Requirements include Windows Upgrade Project, a high degree of Windows 11 (LTS, Pro, and Enterprise) knowledge and experience, expertise building and configuring Windows 11 manually, experience working on laboratory instruments and software, expertise with hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting, SCCM experience, familiarity with ServiceNow and JIRA to maintain tickets and document knowledge, and hands-on experience with Windows upgrade projects, including upgrading machines, imaging computers, and Windows 11. Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, coordinating with vendors, and replacing or upgrading equipment/machinery is required. Familiarity with advanced laboratory instruments and technical support in a complex environment is preferred. Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, asset tracking, and documentation management is highly desirable. Hands-on Windows 11 experience is mandatory. Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred; however, candidates from other industries with strong relevant advanced experience will also be considered. 5+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
