Our organization is on the lookout for a full-time Urogynecologist to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology located in Long Island, New York!

This department is comprised of over 40 board-certified physicians, both full-time and voluntary, dedicated to serving a diverse community. As part of our health system and affiliated with a prominent academic and research medical center, we provide numerous professional advantages. With more than 2,400 deliveries annually, our department supports 16 residents in a comprehensive four-year residency program, along with an active teaching initiative for third-year medical students. All subspecialties within OB/GYN are represented in our department.

We are looking for Board Certified or Board Eligible physicians in Obstetrics & Gynecology as well as Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. The ideal candidate will deliver consistent, compassionate, high-quality, and patient-centered care tailored to individual needs. The successful applicant will demonstrate clinical proficiency through their training, education, certification, and experience, alongside strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. A commitment to our teaching mission is essential, and candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid New York State Medical License.

The selected candidates will have the chance to collaborate with the esteemed Icahn School of Medicine. Our department is dedicated to holistic patient care, emphasizing a patient-centered approach. The Urogynecologist will work alongside various specialists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Instruct medical students and residents through lectures, rounds, and clinical activities in both office and operating room settings.
  2. Provide Urogynecology care, encompassing both outpatient services and surgical procedures in the hospital.
  3. Handle general administrative tasks, including documentation and review of patient charts.
  4. Engage in teaching, research, service, and related administrative responsibilities, including academic advising.
  5. Play a significant role in training Urogynecology fellows and participating in research initiatives. The department accommodates 3 residents annually, totaling 12, with approval for 16 in total.
  6. Collaborate effectively with colleagues as a vital member of the health system.

Qualifications
  1. Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
  2. Active New York Medical License and NYS DEA registration.
  3. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
  4. Successful completion of a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
  5. Outstanding communication skills, bedside manner, and organizational abilities.
  6. A strong work ethic and a desire to thrive in a team-oriented, performance-driven environment.
  7. Ability to collaborate respectfully and build relationships with colleagues.
  8. Adaptability in a dynamic environment, with a commitment to challenging the status quo and enhancing care delivery.

The compensation for this position ranges from $230,000 to $400,000, excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits.

Our organization provides a salary range to comply with New York City’s Salary Transparency law. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, collections, and community needs. Therefore, actual salaries may fall closer to either end of the range, and in some cases, may exceed the listed range. The stated salary range applies to full-time positions and does not include bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits.
