Job Details Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 04/27/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Provide comprehensive patient care in the obstetric setting, including labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care. Assess maternal and fetal health, administer treatments, and collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. Communicate procedures to patients and families, provide reassurance, and address concerns. Support physicians during labor, delivery, and examinations of patients; assist with cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures. Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing standards; monitor and interpret fetal monitoring results. Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care. Document care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the medical record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes. Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols. Comply with regulatory standards, hospital policies, state laws, and federal guidelines for obstetric nursing care.
