Location: Kansas City, MO

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Approximately 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

What You'll Do

This unique dual-role combines facility maintenance with shipping and receiving responsibilities, making every day engaging and rewarding.

Facilities & Janitorial Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.
• Perform daily cleaning, sanitizing, and replenishment of restroom supplies.
• Complete weekly deep cleaning of all restroom facilities.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain production and warehouse areas.
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the facility.
• Monitor cardboard recycling containers and prepare them for pickup.
• Restock janitorial supplies and maintain organized storage areas.
• Perform facility inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment.

Shipping & Receiving Responsibilities

• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight safely and efficiently.
• Verify shipment quantities and inspect incoming freight for damage.
• Stage and distribute materials to designated warehouse or production areas.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments through UPS, FedEx, LTL carriers, and USPS.
• Support company mail processing, including certified and priority mail handling.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely (training/certification available if needed).
• Keep the dock and receiving areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Communicate shipment updates and exceptions with the Operations team.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Comfortable working in an active warehouse environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, custodial, facilities, or warehouse experience
• Forklift experience or willingness to become certified
• Experience with shipping, receiving, or inventory operations

Physical Requirements

This is an active position requiring:

• Standing and walking throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, lifting, pushing, and pulling
• Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Safe use of cleaning chemicals and required PPE
• Operation of pallet jacks and forklifts
