Job Opportunity

Join our dynamic healthcare team in an exciting role that offers the opportunity to work in a Short Term Acute Care facility with a Level II Trauma Center designation. This position involves a night shift from 19:00 to 07:00, featuring 3x12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care, including floor care and responding to emergency codes.
• Perform rapid response duties as required.
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:11.
• Float between different units as needed.
• Use advanced equipment and technology to ensure patient safety and care efficacy.

Qualifications

• Current Washington state license is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification is necessary.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Experience with trauma care preferred; Level II trauma experience is advantageous.

Skills

• Proficient in aerosol therapy setups (both mask and tracheostomy).
• Ability to interpret Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs).
• Knowledge and experience with various respiratory therapies and equipment.
• Strong skills in managing patients undergoing mechanical ventilation.
• Familiarity with Epic charting system.

Work Environment

• Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care / Level II Trauma Center / Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.
• Total Staffed Beds: 629.
• Teaching hospital environment with opportunities for continuous learning.
• Scrub color: All RN: any color; RRT: any color; L&D: Not Provided.

Schedule

• Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule.
• Every other weekend required.
• Commitment to working 3 of 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).

This position is located in Seattle, WA.
