Senior Accountant

Our Cause is powerful: to create a world where all environments improve everyday life.The Project Accountant will serve as a key member of the accounting team and is responsible for the full lifecycle of assigned projects, including project setup, contract review, billing, financial reporting, receivables, and closeout. Under the supervision of the Division Controller, this role partners with Project Managers and other stakeholders to ensure project accounting records, invoices, and reports are accurate, and contract-compliant, and completed by established deadlines. The role is also expected to embrace emerging technology, including AI-enabled tools, and proactively identify opportunities to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of accounting processes.Responsibilities include managing monthly billing, preparing pay applications, reviewing contracts, setting up projects, managing the project accounting lifecycle, monitoring receivables, maintaining records, assisting with close processes, generating reports, and recommending process improvements.Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, 3-5 years of project accounting experience, excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, proficiency with AI and Microsoft tools, and experience with industry-specific accounting software.This role is a hybrid position (3 days a week) based out of our Ontario, CA office.Core States Group is an industry-leading architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) firm trusted by many of the world's most notable brands.
