About the role We are looking for a highly skilled Principal Infrastructure Engineer to take on a key technical leadership position within our organization. This role involves overseeing infrastructure engineering and troubleshooting, ensuring the highest standards are maintained. You will report directly to the Chief Information Officer and play a vital role in shaping our infrastructure strategy. Key facts Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia Engagement: Hybrid work model Compensation: $143,214 per year Team: Paradigm and @Gov What you'll do Take ownership of complex infrastructure engineering tasks and provide expert troubleshooting support. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize infrastructure solutions. Requirements Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a related field. Proven expertise in cloud technologies, particularly AWS or Azure. Strong knowledge of networking, security, and systems architecture. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. Nice to have Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. Skills & tools Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Ansible. Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack. Practical notes This position does not offer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
