Porters Creek Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking the man God is calling to serve as our next bi-vocational pastor.

We are a loving, rural Southern Baptist congregation in Middleton, Tennessee, with many young families and strong children’s and youth ministries. We love our church, we love our community, and we are excited about what God has for the next chapter of ministry at Porters Creek.

Our current pastor is leaving Porters Creek to serve as the Associational Missions Strategist for our county Baptist association. We are grateful for his ministry among us and are approaching this transition with a desire to build upon what God is already doing in our church.

We are not simply looking for someone to fill a pulpit. We are seeking a pastor who will faithfully preach and teach the Word of God, love and shepherd our people, equip believers for ministry, reach people with the gospel, and lead our church as we continue to grow and serve our community.

Our next pastor should meet the biblical qualifications for pastoral ministry, affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000, and have a heart for serving people in the context of a rural Southern Baptist church. We desire a pastor who values biblical preaching, evangelism, discipleship, missions, and relationships with people of all generations.

About Our Community

Middleton is a small community in Hardeman County in Southwest Tennessee. Rural ministry here provides the opportunity to know people personally, build lasting relationships, serve families across generations, and make an impact that extends well beyond the walls of the church.

We believe some of the greatest opportunities for ministry at Porters Creek are still ahead of us, and we are prayerfully looking forward to the pastor God will bring to walk with us into that next chapter.
