Greeting and welcoming guests enthusiastically as they enter the venue.
Answering questions about the specific operation and possessing full knowledge of products served.
Maintaining orderly queues. Monitoring and measuring wait times. Setting up and removing stanchions, ropes and poles as needed to appropriately configure the length of the outdoor queue.
Providing exemplary guest service at all times and scans the area for potential service cues that could lead to a positive service experience for our guests.
Maintaining a clean work environment. Constantly monitoring immediate area and surroundings for trash and debris and assisting in its removal as needed.
Coordinating the orderly movement of people entering and exiting the queue by monitoring table turns, walking the dining room, and understanding service capacities.
Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements/Responsibilities

To perform the role of a the Restaurant Greeter successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function of the job satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representatives of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Consistent attendance and punctuality is required.
High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Six months to one year Customer Service experience preferred but not required; previous Food and Beverage experience helpful; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to stand; talk or hear; handle or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
The individual is frequently required to walk; and occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.

The work environment is generally routine with established precedents, practices and procedures. A detailed understanding of the work unit is required.
