Job Description Summary ModMed is hiring a driven Senior Software Engineer 2 to join our positive, passionate, and high‑performing Product Development team. This is a unique opportunity to influence the architecture and technical direction of a highly available, high‑traffic, robust cloud‑based platform within a fast‑paced Healthcare IT company that is truly modernizing medicine. What you’ll do Design, develop & implement complex engineering systems, aligning with future scalability & business objectives. Provide mentorship, set technical direction, & drive excellence in the team. Contribute to the technical roadmap with cross‑functional teams & stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Simplify & break down complex requirements into manageable deliverables & milestones through development of technical specifications. Ensure deliverables meet the functional & non‑functional criteria, & drive changes proactively where outcomes are misaligned. Promote a culture of continuous improvement by guiding other engineers through design, code, & operational reviews. What you’ll bring Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field. Master’s Degree is a plus. 10+ years of software development experience. Deep extensive C#/.Net experience. Solid understanding of microservices & REST API standards. SaaS development experience. Experience in writing Unit & API tests. Experience with public cloud services, preferably AWS. Full stack (backend, frontend, operations) technical leadership experience is a plus. Proven experience designing, developing, & operating modern cloud‑native, fault‑tolerant distributed services. Ability to communicate & collaborate effectively across functional lines. Exceptional strategic thinking & technical expertise, with the ability to align technology with business objectives. Proficiency with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code), including experience leveraging agent capabilities such as skills, plugins, & custom workflows to accelerate development & maintain code quality.
