About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Active nursing license Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: CVICU experience preferred but strong ICU experience will be considered. Must be able to pass EKG testing before the start date. Description: The position requires experience in care delivery for critically ill patients. Strong clinical skills in ventilator management and arterial line management are essential. Experience with blood product administration and management of dysrhythmias is required. Candidates must be familiar with continuous IV sedation procedures. The ability to care for patients undergoing procedural sedation is necessary. Knowledge of patient diagnoses, including sepsis and respiratory therapy, is important. Candidates should have experience managing complex patient needs, including those with renal failure and post-cardiac arrest. The role may require floating to other units within the facility and potentially to other locations within the health system. Weekend shifts are required, with a commitment to providing appropriate patient care. Candidates will work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and respiratory services. It is important for candidates to have strong communication skills for effective collaboration. Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, with no requests for time off during major holidays being accommodated. Compliance with evolving health regulations and standards is essential.
