We offer a wide range of job opportunities, competitive compensation, full benefits, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan and more.Your Next Opportunity:The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for providing reviews and analysis of project costs and budgets with Division Managers to ensure reasonable presentation in company financials.Responsibilities include:Determine risk factors and present findings to Finance ManagementMentor and train junior members of the Cost Accounting Dept.Review, analyze and prepare company revenue forecasts for distribution to executive managementSupport development of current systems and policies/procedures (Oracle PM tools, finance forms, etc.)Assist in the development, implementation and/or maintenance of cost accounting systems related to collection and analysis of job costs and/or budgets.Prepare subsidiary accounting and financial documents for divisions including CACs, backlog, invalid time reports and budgets.Prepare various cost/statistical reports for corporate management as required/requested.Prepare financial data for inclusion in bid proposals, and other similar packages.Perform internal auditsAssist Project Management in resolution of costing issues Travel to regional offices to support operations, conduct month-end reviews, and train operations staff on finance procedures and systems.The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position's role within the business unit.What You Bring To Us:Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or related field or can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experienceMinimum of 5+ years' finance or accounting experience, preferably in the construction/manufacturing industry.Strong understanding of project accounting principles, cost controls, financial reporting, and profitability analysis.Experience with Oracle Enterprise Business Suite (EBS), Oracle Fusion Cloud, or other enterprise-level financial systems preferred.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, and WordCompetencies:TrainingData gathering and analysisAttention to detailWhat You'll Need To Be Successful:Thorough knowledge of standard accounting procedures, Company policies and all relevant Federal, State and local requirementsAdvanced professional level requiring the incumbent to handle a variety of difficult and unique problemsAbility to understand and follow standard operating policies and procedures;Ability to perform duties in a professional mannerProficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferredAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessaryAbility to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitudeEffective oral and written communication skills as required for the positionAbility to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team playerAbility to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and othersTravel:Up to 20%Working Conditions:General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending.
