About The Role
We are involved in complex, global and high-profile litigation, arbitration, and investigations combining end-to-end risk advisory, investigative and disputes expertise to deliver holistic solutions for our clients.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of comprehensive solutions to address evolving geopolitical, regulatory and national security risks to our clients. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in risk and compliance advisory and investigations, with a focus on critical industries such as technology, healthcare, financial services, and energy that may be subject to review under the Committee of Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). This role will require working closely with domestic and international clients to conduct investigative analysis in the areas of business intelligence and due diligence services using sophisticated research and analysis techniques. With offices worldwide, we are able to uncover and analyze critical information wherever a need exists—no matter how intricate the investigation may be.
What You'll Do
- Business development, scoping, budgeting, conducting and managing in-depth investigative research and analysis on individuals and corporate entities using the full range of U.S. and international open sources (media, public records etc.) in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment
- Perform a wide range of investigative, compliance, and risk assessment engagements in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment; summarizing the results accurately and concisely in written reports for a sophisticated client base consisting of top-tier law firms, financial institutions and corporations; managing consultants on engagements which involve teams of investigative researchers; and providing oral reports to clients, when appropriate
- Develop strategies to expand the portfolio of services offered and improve the efficiency and consistency of service delivery
- Advise clients on compliance with regulatory requirements, including export controls, CFIUS reviews, sanctions, anti-money laundering, foreign investment and other trade restrictions
- Collaborate with internal teams, including investigations, forensic accounting, risk and compliance, cybersecurity, export controls, strategic communications, and data analytics, to deliver multidisciplinary solutions to complex client challenges
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders in government agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with national security protocols
- Monitor and assess geopolitical developments, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that may impact national security
- Lead modification and enhancement of proposals

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of relevant post-graduate professional experience in investigative activities within an investigations firm, government agency, or a related type organization, with a strong focus on forensic and analytical experience. Experience in both public and private sectors is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in high-pressure environments
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing projects effectively
- Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s) as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to identify red flags, validate sources, and assess the completeness and accuracy of open-source information
- Strong Writing Skills: Familiarity with legal and financial terminology, with the ability to produce accurate and concise summaries of complex transactions and civil litigation from original documents (A writing sample will be required during the interview process)
- Resourcefulness: Capacity to devise creative solutions for challenging research problems
- Financial Analysis Experience: Background in financial analysis and proficiency in preparing spreadsheets is a plus
- Investigative Interviewing: Experience conducting investigative interviews is a plus

Compensation
Minimum Pay: $119,500Maximum Pay: $329,500
Compensation Disclosure: The compensation range reflects potential base salary for the role. Actual compensation is determined based on a wide array of relevant factors including market considerations, business needs, and an individual's location, skills, level of experience, and qualifications.
