Position Overview We are seeking motivated Archaeology Field Technicians to support cultural resource management (CRM) projects across multiple locations. This role involves hands‑on archaeological field work, laboratory work, and GIS analysis to document historical sites and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Locations Edinburg, Texas Norman, Oklahoma San Marcos, Texas College Station, Texas Dallas, Texas Austin, Texas Shreveport, Louisiana Baton Rouge, Louisiana Little Rock, Arkansas Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Tulsa, Oklahoma Waco, Texas Responsibilities Perform archaeological field work, including excavations of shovel test pits, test pit excavations, trenching, and stratigraphic recording. Collect, prepare, and catalog artifacts; assist in laboratory processing, typology, and dated analyses. Prepare field reports, material control logs, and daily dig notes. Maintain field site safety, vehicle equipment, and environmental stewardship. Assist in GIS data mapping, historical site inventory, and regulatory compliance documentation. Qualifications Entry–Mid Level; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent coursework in archaeology, anthropology, or related field; strong attention to detail; physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions; ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
