About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in Medical/Surgical/Telemetry License: Oregon RN license pending is acceptable Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - IMC experience - Epic charting experience - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Non-invasive airway management - Peripheral line care/management - Rapid response team activation Description: The Registered Nurse will operate in a medical/surgical/telemetry setting. The position requires a focus on adult and geriatric patient populations. The nurse must manage a patient ratio of 1:4-6. Clinician will float if needed to meet facility needs. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The nurse will provide care to very sick medical/surgical patients. The position involves providing all levels of care, including for COVID patients. Interdisciplinary support includes teams such as IV, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services. Patients have diagnoses that range from general medical to IMC level care. The unit is equipped to manage various therapies including insulin and cardiac drips. Travelers are expected to float to nearby facilities if necessary. Refusal to float may result in contract cancellation. Modules may be required pre-start and annually, based on specialty. Candidates should have the ability to work with computerized documentation. Experience with cardiac drips and vasoactive drips is essential. The nurse must implement isolation precautions as necessary. Daily patient care and management will be expected in a high-acuity environment.
