Kelly Services is seeking qualified Assembly Technicians to support the production of capital equipment and medical devices used in operating rooms, such as patient monitors and monitor brackets. This position requires knowledge that is acquired through experience, specialized education, or training.
1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. | $23.00 per hour
Overtime available based on business needs; potential for temp-to-hire for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Perform primarily mechanical assembly using hand tools, fixtures, specified torque tools, and, where necessary, power tools, jigs, and fixtures; minimal electronic assembly and no machining required.
• Work with mechanical or electrical components, and conduct quality inspections aligned to defined tolerances and specifications.
• Support general packaging and shipping processes based on business needs.
• Follow well-defined technical procedures and detailed work instructions; make simple judgments in straightforward situations and select between established solutions.
• Work within a production team of approximately 25–40 employees, organized into small cells of 2–5 team members to promote collaboration and efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Prior hands-on assembly or manufacturing/production experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with quality inspection practices and working within defined tolerances.
• Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience using power tools, jigs, fixtures, and with mechanical or electrical components.
• Background in medical device or other regulated manufacturing environments is highly valued (including FDA-regulated work, documentation practices, and biohazard handling).
• Ability to use a laptop and local database to follow multi-page work procedures.
• Understands and adheres to clearly defined guidelines, procedures, and rules within own discipline.
• Strong teamwork, reliability, and ability to maintain required assembly-line pace.

Training and Onboarding:

• Structured one-on-one and task-based training, including laptop-based procedure reviews, quizzes, and hands-on instruction with engineer sign-off.
• Robust onboarding ensures new hires are fully prepared before transitioning to independent assignments.
