Job Description
Cytotechnologist Schedule
- Shift: Day (hours may vary)
- Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified otherwise
- Holidays: Expected to work holidays per posting rules Requirements
- Certification: Cytotechnologist certified by ASCP or IAC
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience
- Previous charge experience required
- Experience with cytology specimen prep and staining (ThinPrep, SurePath, Autocyte, conventional)
- Knowledge of HPV DNA testing
- Experience with body fluids (ascitic, spinal) and GI specimens (esophageal, gastric)
- Familiarity with quality control / quality assurance
- Patient population experience: Neonates to Geriatrics
- EMR experience: Epic Compliance / Notes
- Full compliance required to start on time; lack of compliance may delay start
- Onboarding: Core items/labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing
- All compliance documents due by Tuesday prior to start
- Modules are non-billable; number of non-billable orientation hours determined by contract length
- Maximum request time off: 7 days per contract; all requests must be finalized at time of submission
