Travel Radiation Therapist
American Traveler
American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT registration and 2 years of experience to deliver Proton and Photon therapy in a hospital Radiation Oncology department.
Requirements
- ARRT registration required
- Current CPR certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist
- High school diploma/GED or college completion required
- Elekta and Mosaiq experience required
- License required if applicable
- Experience at a comparably sized facility required
- Active license and one professional reference required for consideration
Responsibilities
- Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department seeking both Proton and Photon Therapists
- Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Operates CT simulator, linear accelerator, QA dosimeters, diode system, and related computer equipment
- Uses Elekta and Mosaiq systems
- Prepares and applies ionizing radiation per Radiation Oncologist prescription under supervision of Chief and Lead Radiation Therapist
- Delivers prescribed radiation therapy courses according to departmental protocols with minimal supervision
- Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
