CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Job TitleThe duties of this position include:Providing liaison with local medical command and civilian hospital psychology departments when needed services are unavailable at the brig.Offering professional advisory services, consultation, and training to health care professionals, installation personnel, correctional staff, and community agencies.Facilitating group therapy and conducting individual therapy specific to prisoners with a history of sexual offending, violent offending, mental health concerns, trauma, and substance abuse.Assessing, planning, and implementing interventions for the spectrum of problems encountered in a mental health clinic within a correctional setting.Providing comprehensive and professional psychology services in support of the Naval Consolidated Brig Miramar (NCBM) requirements and initiatives.
