DIR - OUTPATIENT SERVICES

Responsibilities Located in Meridian, Mississippi, Alliance Health Center is a 154‑bed acute care psychiatric and chemical dependency hospital offering treatment programs for adults and adolescents and a unique track specifically for seniors. The campus also houses The Crossings, a 60‑bed residential treatment facility for adolescents. For over 40 years, Alliance has served individuals with acute mental and behavioral health disorders and addiction issues across Mississippi and Alabama. Programs are offered to all ages—from adolescents to seniors—including detoxification, dual diagnosis, and the 30‑day New Leaf Recovery program. Dual diagnosis programming is available for those with mental illness and substance abuse. Director of Outpatient Services is accountable for leadership and strategic management of the Outpatient Services/Partial Hospitalization Program. In collaboration with the Medical Director and clinical staff, the position assesses, develops, implements, and evaluates program philosophy, goals, objectives, and treatment interventions for all outpatient programming (both PHP and IOP). The Director provides the leadership necessary for successful program development and maintenance through organized, program‑focused referral development activities and supports a culture of Service Excellence for all customer groups. Minimum master’s degree in a social science field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling) with a professional license in Mississippi required. Experience: Minimum five years in the psychiatric/mental health field, with a minimum of three years in a lead/managerial capacity. Licensure: Appropriate state licensure in mental health and/or proper certification in field of expertise or license eligible. Additional Requirements: Experience in psychiatric and chemical dependency or related field within the past five years preferred. Strong management and team‑building skills; ability to maintain a budget and develop and maintain management of a nursing unit. Demonstrated competency in management areas: Principles of organization Theories of management Human resource management Strategies of nursing management Financial management Foundation of mental health/health law Licensure/JCAHO standards specific to medical/psychiatric inpatient practice Other requirements: Knowledge of JCAHO, CMS, OSHA regulations, state and federal regulatory standards. CPR certification and successful completion of CPI or HWC within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process.
