Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: RN Step Down Specialty: RN Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Must-Have: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Description: We are looking for highly motivated nurses to help in a PCU Cardiac Surgery Unit. This unit cares for patients that are status post cardiac surgery. The unit capacity is 24 beds. The population served includes pre and post cardiac surgery, acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, unstable arrhythmias, and other related cardiac disorders. Patients served range from young adults to late adults (18 - 60+). The nurse to patient ratio is 5:1. The core staffing plan is variable and includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians, and nurse interns. An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team.
