About the Position

Job Title: CT Technologist Profession: Radiology Specialty: CT Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night and Mid Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submission Certifications: BLS, ARRT(R)(CT) Must-Have: Experience with GE and Siemens FORCE Scanner is mandatory; do not send candidates without Siemens experience Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly turn into a cancellation. Weekend shifts are required, specifically Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. No weekend RTO is permitted. The expected start date is based on the schedule but is subject to change depending on class and trainer availability. Travelers may start on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of the first week. Candidates must be fully available with no other commitments to accommodate any schedule changes. Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start. The final start date will be confirmed on the Tuesday prior to the start week. The daily caseload ranges from 150 to 200 scans. The unit has 4 rooms for scanning. The workload includes both trauma and routine emergency department patients. Typical case loads for one tech during a 12-hour shift range from 15 to 20 patients. The unit will accept first-time travelers. Local candidates are accepted with a rate difference. Experience in inpatient, ER, and adult ICU is required. Preferred skills include outpatient experience, IV starts, and PACS familiarity. Some trauma experience is beneficial. Candidates should have the ability to work with a variety of patient age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Special procedures include handling code strokes and other emergency cases. The department is fast-paced, particularly during peak hours. The technological equipment required includes Siemens FORCE and associated machines. Candidates must be open to floating within or near the facility per the job description. Submitting candidates must provide their interview availability within the next 72 hours.
