Moxie Salon and Beauty Bar is seeking an exceptional Lead Hair Stylist & Beauty Specialist to join our growing team.

 

This is not an entry-level stylist position. We are looking for a highly skilled beauty professional with a minimum of 8 years of experience behind the chair who is passionate about delivering exceptional results, building lasting client relationships, and driving business growth.

 

We are prepared to offer $30-$35 per hour for the right candidate—someone who consistently performs at a high level, generates significant revenue, and understands how to grow both their own business and the salon's business.

 

If you have an established clientele, a strong referral network, a social media presence, or a proven history of building and retaining a loyal client base, we want to hear from you.

 

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is highly skilled in:

 

• Women's haircuts
• Men's haircuts
• Blowouts and styling
• Balayage and dimensional color
• Highlights and blonding services
• Color corrections
• Gray coverage
• Formal and special event styling
• Hair treatments and smoothing service
• Hair extensions (consultation, installation, maintenance, and removal)

Bonus Skills (Highly Preferred)

• Makeup artistry
• Bridal beauty services
• Brow shaping and facial waxing
• Spray tanning
• Lash extension certification
• Interest in becoming lash extension certified
• Social media content creation and personal branding

Qualifications

• Active New York Cosmetology License
• Minimum 8 years of hairstyling experience
• Advanced cutting and coloring skills
• Experience with hair extensions preferred
• Strong consultation and communication skills
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Team-oriented mindset
• Strong work ethic and accountability
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced luxury salon environment
