Atlas Welding Supply , a leading distributor of industrial gases plus welding and safety supplies in Alabama, is seeking a CDL B or CDL A Truck Driver to join the team in Tuscaloosa, AL . If you have a valid CDL Class B with Tanker & Hazmat endorsements , Atlas wants to hear from you! CDL A would be preferred. Requirements: Class "B" CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required. CDL "A" preferred. Able to drive tractor/trailers loaded with cylinders and freight and deliver goods to branch stores/customers. Must have a current DOT medical certificate. At least 24 months experience driving Class A vehicles preferred. Must be at 21 years of age (due to insurance reasons). Follow all procedures as outlined by DOT regulations and company policy. Physical requirements include: Lift/move up to 50-70 lbs., occasionally lift 150-750 lbs. with lifting device. Must have valid Driver's License with good driving record. Drug screen, physical and background check required. Essential duties/responsibilities: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicle and all other appropriate paperwork. Fill out truck manifest prior to leaving store. Fill out daily trip records including logbook and duty sheets. Attend monthly safety meetings. Adhere to company policies and procedures as well as local, state and federal regulations and laws. Commit to high performance by maintaining regular, consistent attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures.
