About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour or Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Labor and Delivery License: Active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, NRP, Fetal Heart Monitoring Must-Have: Competence in Antepartum, OB Triage, Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Post-Partum Description: We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will work 3x12-hour shifts either during the day or at night with commitments every other weekend or every third weekend. Certified nurses must have ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications. The nurse is required to be competent in various aspects of maternal care, including Antepartum care and the management of labor, delivery, and postpartum patients. Additionally, the role involves providing care in the nursery setting. Travelers are required to have a permanent residence more than 25 miles from the facility to qualify for the position. Candidates should be prepared to work holidays as needed. All nursing candidates must possess an active nursing license and certifications before applying. Documentation supporting medical or religious vaccine exemptions must accompany the application if applicable. Potential candidates must comply with all state requirements for licensing and background checks before starting the position. Expect a daily census of approximately 1-8 patients with a patient ratio of 4:1 during shifts. The nursing role includes practices in triaging obstetric patients and utilizing external fetal monitoring. Responsibilities will also involve postpartum treatment and education for patients and their families.
