Receiving Associate

At Sound Associates, we provide audio visual rentals & sales to Broadway theaters and many of the touring houses throughout North America. The Receiving Associate is responsible for managing incoming shipments, verifying and recording inventory, ensuring accurate distribution and organization of equipment in a warehouse, as well as a nanswering and directing incoming calls. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple functional areas in a fast-paced small business environment. Duties Monitor and track all purchase orders Recording incoming equipment in proprietary software systems Unloading and inspecting equipment which includes identifying and reporting discrepancies or damages Entering incoming equipment into daily logbook to include date received and subsequent distribution Answering incoming calls and routing to appropriate parties Create and apply barcodes to rental equipment followed by distribution to show zones or other depts Enter barcodes and items into jobs in company software system followed by ticket printing for shipping Maintain sticker machine and main copier; troubleshoot when necessary File all documents by month Qualifications and Education Requirements Physical ability to lift and move heavy (30+ pounds) items safely 1–3 years of experience in operations, office management, or a related administrative role, preferably in a small business setting Basic computer proficiency, including inventory management software and Excel Strong organizational, time management and communication skills Attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously #J-18808-Ljbffr
