How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Performs scrub duties, including the handling of instruments and supplies used in complex cardiovascular surgeries.
• Executes circulating nurse functions, which involve monitoring, documenting, and communicating the patient's condition, as well as overseeing the total nursing care during cardiovascular procedures.
• Assists operating physicians and anesthesia providers with the placement and maintenance of lines and with intubation during cardiovascular procedures.
• Prepares the cardiovascular operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for use.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• Nurses with two years of OR experience who want to elevate their career by joining our CVOR team.
• Enjoys working collaboratively with an expert surgical team in a high-acuity environment, focusing on advanced cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Motivated nurses who are committed to precision, teamwork, and delivering extraordinary care.
• CVOR experience preferred
