Start date: 05/28/2026, with ongoing coverage for at least 2 months Competitive pay package of $19.50/hour + weekly pay via direct deposit Work at a full-service acute care hospital in Springfield, OH, with a dynamic team and modern facilities Quick Facts Location: Springfield, OH – {100 Medical Center Drive} Start Date: 05/28/2026 Duration: At least 2 months, with potential for sporadic coverage afterward Shift: 7:00 AM daily, flexible as needed Hours/week: Full-time Employment Type: Locum/Travel Physician License/Certs: Ohio medical license, Board Certified in Surgery Experience: Minimum 2+ years in cardiothoracic surgical procedures Pay & Benefits Pay Rate: $19.50/hour Benefits: Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Robust referral bonus program Travel and lodging reimbursements (lodging within $150/night, economy travel) Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do Perform general cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries Conduct coronary artery bypass procedures, valve repairs/replacements, aneurysm repairs Carry out lung resections (including VATs), chest wall/pleural surgeries, esophageal/diaphragm surgeries Manage carotid and renal endarterectomy procedures Provide ventilation management and bronchoscopies Evaluate and treat acute blood pressure and respiratory issues in hospitalized patients Collaborate with onsite team in a 250-bed hospital, supporting ICU and emergency care What You Need Valid Ohio medical license and board certification in surgery Minimum of 2+ years of related surgical experience Strong knowledge of cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular procedures Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations About the Assignment This assignment is at a full-service hospital with 250 beds, including 60 ICU beds, in Springfield, Ohio. The facility features onsite lab and x-ray services, with documentation managed via EPIC. Your role involves providing critical surgical coverage following an unforeseen medical emergency, ensuring uninterrupted patient care.
