VP, Commercial Real Estate Loan Operations

This supervisory role manages the Loan Operations function within Situs Asset Management (SAM) and oversees daily operations for clients' portfolios of commercial real estate loans. The position includes mentoring, training, and evaluating a team of direct reports. Essential Job Functions Monitor workflow to ensure staff is adequately utilized Manage research requests, supporting the asset‑management team in addressing borrower, investor, or third‑party inquiries Train new team members Maintain visibility into the status of daily task assignments, ensuring they are prepared timely, accurately, approved by proper personnel, and distributed to the appropriate client personnel with all historical reporting maintained for audit and historical purposes Raise potential issues to management in a timely manner (e.g., staffing, performance, or servicing standards) Identify performance trends and potential enhancements for analysis and possible incorporation into servicing workflow, QC workflow, or reporting automation Review and approve procedures related to operations as assigned by senior management Represent the company in resolving non‑compliant issues through verbal and written communication with both internal and external parties Periodically evaluate resources to ensure specific goals and deadlines are achievable Perform quality control on completed products and communicate results to team members Stay abreast of changes in industry standards Perform any other activities as assigned by the manager Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor's degree; preferred fields of study include real estate, finance/accounting, business, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of 8+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 2+ years in an AVP level role or external equivalent 5–7 years of experience in commercial real estate, cash management, loan servicing, or escrow management High comfort level with use of industry‑related software systems Ability to work with Excel (performing VLOOKUP, pivot tables and other functions to understand and reconcile data) Ability to multitask Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong written and oral communication skills Strong analytical abilities, good judgment, strategic and process thinking High degree of professionalism Ability to work as a team player Pro‑active approach to problem recognition and resolution Strong leadership skills Ability to manage direct reports Willingness to adjust work schedule as needed, including evening or weekend hours Benefits Annual full‑time base salary range: $100,000.00–$145,000.00. Additional compensation may include a discretionary bonus.
