HVAC Service Technician

HVAC TechnicianComplete Building Services (CBS) is searching for experienced HVAC Technicians to join our Commercial HVAC Service division. Our HVAC Technicians rotate on call duties throughout the year, on average a tech may only be on call for 4 weeks through a 52 week period. CBS provides all service trucks to ensure you have a reliable source of travel for your position. As an HVAC Technician, you will be involved in three main areas - supporting installation projects, supporting preventative maintenance work plans, and responding to calls to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Hours Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Salary $30-$52 depending on experience and license.Location: Washington DCHours: 7:00am - 3:30pm (Monday - Friday)Salary: $40 - $60Major Duties to include:Maintain HVAC equipment in sound operating conditionDiagnose and repair HVAC system problems as assigned—VRF diagnosis and repair a plusProvide direction and support to sub-contractors when neededInterface with building personnel and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfactionAccurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work ordersPurchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completionYou Should HaveEducation Requirement with one of the following:High School diploma or equivalentLicense Requirement:State HVAC License Journeyman or Masters preferred, but not required based upon previous experienceUniversal CFC Certification RequiredValid driver's license with reliable transportationExperience and Physical Expectations:Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years commercial experience preferred. Minimum of ten (10) years of related experience with HVAC systemsStrong electrical trouble shooting skills to perform the following; connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, humidity controls, and ventilation fans to starter panels and/or VFD'sAdditionally, you may be asked to speak to your experience with any of the following equipment: CRAC Units, RTU's, Split System AC and HP's, VRF's, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Boilers, Gas and Oil Fired, AHU's, VAV Systems, Chill Water, Condenser Water, Hot Water Systems and Hi/Low Pressure Steam Systems.Able to lift up to sixty (60) poundsCapable of ascending ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feetEOE, including disability/veteransIND123Why You'll Love Working With UsComplete Building Services (CBS) is a company that is passionate about the operation and maintenance of buildings/facilities in the commercial and government sectors.
