About the Position

The Stepdown RN provides intermediate-level nursing care to patients requiring more frequent monitoring than a general Med-Surg unit, but who are stable enough to not require ICU care. The nurse is responsible for managing complex clinical conditions, cardiac monitoring, and post-ICU transitions while ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Active RN License — State specific or Compact (as applicable)

• Experience: 1–2 years recent Stepdown/PCU/Telemetry acute care experience

• Certifications: BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred

• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation

• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

• Must be able to work rotating weekends/holidays as required
