We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Accounting Assistant to join our small accounting office in Byram, Mississippi.
The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, organized, and professional. The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently while managing multiple clients, responsibilities, and deadlines.
Required experience includes:
- QuickBooks Desktop
- Payroll processing
- Federal and state payroll tax filings
- Accounts payable
- General bookkeeping and accounting
- Strong communication and client-service skills
Previous experience in a CPA firm or public accounting environment is a plus .
This position involves regular interaction with professional clients, including physicians, attorneys, and business owners. Discretion, professionalism, sound judgment, and a commitment to client service are essential.
We offer a flexible part-time schedule (24-30 hours a week).
