Clinical Adjunct Nursing Faculty - Evening Shift

Teaching Opportunities We are excited to announce multiple Adjunct Teaching opportunities for our Chesapeake, VA BSN campus. These are on‑site, in‑person, evening shift (3 pm‑11 pm) teaching assignments beginning on or after August 31, 2026. Teaching opportunities include, but are not limited to: Med Surg Fundamentals OB/Maternal Health Pediatrics (Peds) Mental Health Responsibilities Teach and evaluate students in a clinical setting; lab/simulation and/or didactic opportunities may be available on occasion. Create an engaging learning environment that supports academic progression and professional socialization. Assess student learning, provide timely feedback, and support remediation of at‑risk students. Collaborate with Course Lead Faculty on curriculum delivery, student success plans, and program evaluation. Maintain accurate student and clinical documentation and comply with FERPA and college policies. Communicate professionally with students, faculty, and clinical partners. Attend required orientations, faculty meetings, and clinical site briefings. Additional Expectations Coach students on leadership, ethics, communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and professionalism. Connect students with campus resources to support success. Perform other duties as assigned. Master’s- and/or doctorate‑level nursing degree. 3+ years of recent direct RN‑level patient care experience. Flexibility to teach clinicals required; flexibility to teach labs and/or didactic courses in other areas of the nursing curriculum is strongly preferred. Compensation and Benefits $55.00 per hour for adjunct and competitive salary for full‑time.
