Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in New Mexico is required
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable delivering both individualized and small-group therapy services
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with educators and families
- Ability to document progress clearly and comply with all educational and healthcare regulations
- In-person service delivery preferred, ensuring hands-on support
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ physical and functional abilities, developing targeted intervention plans
- Provide therapeutic services individually and in group sessions as indicated in student IEPs
- Set measurable goals, track progress, and maintain comprehensive records
- Consult with teachers and school staff to promote student mobility and safety throughout the campus
- Communicate regularly with families and support teams, fostering a cohesive care approach
- Adapt therapy modalities as needed to meet each student’s evolving needs
