Job Responsibilities
- Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs and design personalized therapy plans to help them reach their functional objectives
- Implement Therapeutic Practices: Employ evidence-based methods to enhance patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and daily activities
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work in synergy with OTs, PTs, STs, physicians, and nurses to provide comprehensive and integrated care
- Guide Patients and Caregivers: Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques to promote continued progress at home
- Track and Document Progress: Monitor clinical developments and adjust treatment approaches as necessary, ensuring that patients are on the right path
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Continuing education and certifications beyond the entry level are encouraged and supported
- Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is essential
- A genuine passion for helping individuals reach their highest level of autonomy
- Empathetic communication skills with both patients and team members
