Senior Quality Assurance Tester

We are seeking a Senior QA Tester (Mainframe & .NET) to play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise-scale Auto Sales applications. In this highly visible position, you will lead testing efforts across modern and legacy platforms, driving quality throughout the software development lifecycle while partnering with business leaders, developers, architects, project teams, and external vendors. Responsibilities will include the following: Quality Assurance Leadership Lead end-to-end testing activities across multiple projects, releases, and application platforms. Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Define testing scope, entry and exit criteria, quality metrics, and release readiness standards. Establish and promote QA best practices, methodologies, and governance standards across project teams. Functional & Integration Testing Execute and coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), Regression Testing, End-to-End Testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Validate complex business workflows, business rules, calculations, user interfaces, APIs, databases, and third-party integrations. Verify data integrity and consistency across applications, interfaces, and reporting systems. Ensure solutions meet business requirements, technical specifications, and quality expectations before production deployment. Defect Management & Quality Control Identify, document, prioritize, and manage defects throughout the defect lifecycle. Facilitate defect triage sessions with development, business, and project stakeholders. Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Verify defect resolutions through retesting and regression testing activities. Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and regression suites. Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency through automation and AI-assisted testing techniques. Partner with development teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Evaluate emerging testing tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance overall quality outcomes. Performance, Security & Compliance Testing Coordinate load, stress, performance, and scalability testing efforts. Validate applications against established service-level objectives and performance expectations. Support penetration testing, security validation, audit requirements, and compliance initiatives. Ensure testing processes align with organizational governance and quality standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, Solution Architects, Project Managers, Operations teams, and third-party vendors. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Mentor junior QA analysts and testers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development. Communicate testing progress, quality metrics, risks, and recommendations to project leadership and stakeholders. Required Skills & Expertise: Professional Experience 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or related disciplines. Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments. Hands-on experience supporting Mainframe and .NET applications. Technical Expertise Strong experience in: Functional Testing System Integration Testing (SIT) User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Regression Testing API Testing Database Testing Performance Testing Defect Lifecycle Management Test Planning and Test Strategy Development Test Automation Frameworks Quality Metrics and Reporting Tools & Technologies ALM / Quality Center or equivalent test management tools Jira SQL and database validation techniques API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar platforms CI/CD and DevOps testing practices Business & Leadership Skills Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities. Strong problem-solving and defect analysis skills. Ability to translate business requirements into comprehensive testing scenarios. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership capabilities. Proven ability to lead testing efforts across multiple concurrent initiatives. Desired Skills & Expertise ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA, or equivalent Quality Assurance certification. Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and intelligent automation platforms. Experience supporting cloud modernization initiatives and legacy application transformation programs. Knowledge of automotive systems, applications, or business processes.
