Nursing Shift Supervisor

Job Title: Nursing Shift Supervisor Location: Unity Hospital Hours Per Week: 24 hours Hours: Off Shift. M, T, W, Th, F- 4pm-8am and Sat and Sun 24 hours Summary: The Nursing Shift Supervisor is a Nursing Leader who serves as a resource for problem solving, provides clinical expertise, facilitates staff mentoring and coaching, facilitates patient flow during the off shifts (typically, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides on-site leadership and oversight during off-shifts in hospital or long-term care settings, managing patient care delivery, staffing, and emergent situations in the absence of onsite management. Supports staff through clinical problem-solving, mentoring, coaching, and reinforcing hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Rounds on patients with concerns, admitted Emergency Department patients, and actively facilitates patient flow and decision-making in collaboration with the care team. Promotes interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe, respectful, and culturally sensitive care, while advocating for patient rights and shared decision-making. Ensures appropriate documentation and communication of shift occurrences, safety concerns, and staffing adjustments; serves as liaison across departments and with leadership. Maintains required education, participates in leadership development, ensures fiscal responsibility, and engages in community and professional healthcare activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's Degree in Nursing required. PAY RANGE: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14626 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
