Schedule/Hours

• 12-hour night shifts
• Open to 48-hour work week contracts (overtime after 48 hours)

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, formulate and adjust individualized plans of care
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing interventions in a 28-bed ICU stepdown/PCU setting
• Manage high-acuity patients with respiratory, renal, surgical, and trauma diagnoses-including ventilators, trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow therapies
• Initiate and monitor Cardizem and Amio drips; manage insulin drips
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and serve as a strong patient advocate
• Float as necessary to lower acuity units ensuring comprehensive institutional coverage
• Serve as a resource for patient teaching and care coordination across hospital departments
• Respond decisively to emergent conditions using strong clinical judgment

Qualifications

• Active RN license (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; strong high-acuity background required
• Ventilator experience-essential
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certification required
• Successful completion of Dysrhythmia Exam (study guide provided)
• Confidence in managing multi-system organ failure and traumatic injuries
