Dental Hygienist

Collegeville, Pennsylvania, United States Job Overview Part‑time Registered Dental Hygienist for our periodontal practice at Lanap & Implant Center of Pennsylvania – Trappe office. Modern technology includes Dentrix software and digital radiographs. Responsibilities Perform thorough and accurate oral assessments to identify patients’ oral health conditions. Clean and remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients’ teeth using various dental instruments. Administer local anesthesia to patients as required for dental procedures. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and mouthwash use. Provide personalized recommendations for oral care products based on individual patient needs. Take dental X‑rays and process them for the dentist’s evaluation. Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride varnishes or sealants to protect patients’ teeth. Conduct periodontal charting and assist the dentist in identifying and treating gum diseases. Coordinate other office responsibilities as needed. Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a dental hygienist. Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods. Understanding of health and safety regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail. Well‑organized and reliable. High school diploma. Benefits 401(k) plan with match options.
