Role Summary The two-year Graduate Program provides recent graduates with hands‑on experience across a wide range of front, middle, and back‑office functions, contributing to projects that support operations, financial activities, client engagement, and regulatory responsibilities. As part of a centralized Finance function, the team partners closely with business leaders and support functions to deliver meaningful financial insights, support strategic decision‑making, and enhance financial transparency. This department not only provides oversight and analysis of business performance but also establishes the minimum required standards for financial planning, reporting, and data governance, reinforcing Marex’s commitment to transparency, consistency, and operational excellence throughout its global footprint. Purpose of Role The Finance – Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of financial reporting, planning, and analysis activities across the firm. This role will focus on monthly close processes, recurring and ad hoc reporting, financial model development and enhancement, and analysis of the key drivers impacting financial performance, while providing additional capacity to the team and enabling senior members to focus on strategic analysis and stakeholder engagement. By delivering reliable reporting, leveraging data analytics, and supporting financial planning processes, the FP&A team helps the business understand performance trends and make informed strategic decisions. Responsibilities Substantiate and reconcile relevant balance sheet accounts, ensuring Group revenue and associated costs are accurately reflected. Support monthly close, reporting, and financial planning activities, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and complete. Assist with the preparation of recurring and ad hoc financial reports, providing analysis of business performance and financial results. Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, supporting forecasting, planning, and decision‑making processes. Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and key drivers of performance, communicating findings to stakeholders. Utilize data analytics and reporting tools, including Excel, Power BI, Essbase, and PeopleSoft, to support reporting and business insights. Collaborate with Finance and business partners on reporting, presentations, and analysis, supporting cross‑functional initiatives and stakeholder requests. Contribute to process improvement initiatives, helping enhance reporting efficiency, data quality, automation, and overall analytical capabilities. Stay informed on financial standards and industry best practices. Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges and regulatory bodies. Familiarity with database querying languages (e.g., SQL) and data manipulation is a plus.
