Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded professional capable of handling a project from the initial framing to the final finishing touches. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets our high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

• Framing: Construct, erect, and install building frameworks, including walls, floors, joists, and rafters for both residential and commercial structures.
  
   
• Siding & Exterior: Install various siding materials (vinyl, wood, fiber cement) with precision to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic appeal.
• Roofing: Perform roofing tasks including the installation of shingles, underlayment, and flashing to ensure structural integrity and leak prevention.
• Finishing Work: Execute high-end interior and exterior finish carpentry, including trim, molding, door and window installation, and cabinetry.
  
   
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine project requirements and dimensions.
  
   
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all OSHA regulations and company safety protocols.
• Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with project leads and other trades to meet deadlines and project goals.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of professional carpentry experience.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Framing, Siding, Roofing, and Finishing Work is mandatory.
• Equipment: Extensive experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively (saws, drills, levels, pneumatic nailers, etc.).
  
   
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting heavy materials (50+ lbs), climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.

Preferred Skills & Requirements

• OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification (preferred, but training can be provided).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to various job sites throughout the Capital Region and Adirondacks.
• Strong attention to detail and a "do it right the first time" mentality.
  
   
• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
