This position is responsible for ensuring a safe, sanitary, and attractive environment for residents and staff through a standardized program of preventative maintenance to ensure optimum performance and appearance of all buildings, grounds, systems and equipment. Ultimately, this position is integral to sustaining high standards of care and operational efficiency within the facility./ppJob Responsibilities/pulliHelp carry out the ongoing preventive maintenance program and schedule./liliHelps maintain kitchen, housekeeping, and laundry equipment, and heating and cooling units./liliAssists with miscellaneous repairs and upkeep of building structure, for example, hallways, walls, ceilings, floors, baseboards, door jambs, handrails, etc./liliRemoves ice and snow from all exits during winter./liliPerform light maintenance duties such as stocking supplies, taking out trash, and cleaning/straightening equipment rooms, replacing filters, cleaning ventilation ducts, etc./liliFollows safety procedures for using solvents, cleaning chemicals, ladders, electrical tools and equipment, and for lifting and transporting supplies and equipment./liliHelp with resident admissions and room changes, moving furniture or other items, helping residents hang pictures, etc./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications/pulliOne to three months of related experience and/or training./liliStrong communication and interpersonal skills./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications/pulliOne year of previous experience in a healthcare or assisted living environment./liliAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team./li/ul/div
